Thanks all. Yes Greg, even in the south of England it’s not very dark till around 11.15pm at this time of year. Further north and in Scotland it’s even lighter. I used to climb in Scotland and can remember coming off hills at 10.30pm in rough ground without the need for a headtorch. It’s also getting light when I shut the gear down at 03.15am.
