Saw this on news.com.au

Apparently this "ray gun" can shoot down an aircraft by "vaporising" it!

Sort of makes the debate about green lasers a bit farcical (not that I'm condoning people who do naughty things with green lasers).

Looks like a Celestron SCT OTA on the far side.
