Thanks AL. Is that the 72FD, Al? Its a fantastic little scope. And works well with the DSLR but you will need the WO Flat III focal reducer and flattener. It does a great job. Perfect for M31 come Astrofest time.
Thanks Jase. I don't know what's happening with the stars. I did some shots of The HH a couple of months ago (long time between drinks
) and Alnitak was the same. Its only the really bright ones. I'm starting to think that maybe its something with the camera. How it deals with saturation???
I'd like to try another camera to see. I have an 7-XME but its nabg, so its just going to bloom anyway. I might try it on a QHY9 this weekend (weather permitting and I can pries it out of the owners hands
).
