Wel yes and no... I have a GPUSB but I don't use it. GPUSB will only give you guiding, where EQMOD will give you both superior scope control and superior guiding.
I'd go for a proper EQDIR cable and ditch the hand controller as mill suggested and don't worry about GPUSB.
