Sorry to interrupt Mars fever, but Venus is also comming into it's full glory at the moment.
Captured this shot with my 12.5" using a UV/IR and Wratten 38A filters, seems that changing the hue as well brings out somewhat some subtle detail.

p.s. also tried the new Baader U Venus filter. It does not work with web cams! despite the 80% transmission claim. It will be going back to the retailer shortly!
