Yes, Ron, I get them too (amp glow), and I just take care of that problem in post-processing. I am trying to figure out a way to cool the sensor down. It seems to be glued to a metal plate while its electronics "float" about 2mm behind it.

H, that is not a bad idea
, but then I must say one loses the autofocus feature and also the warranty of the camera. Besides, it is very simple to do, no soldering is necessary. Even removing the original filter is a breeze. Applying the new one is the hard part.
