Yep, it's the final result that matters. We both went through a few posts here a while back on the subject of DIY control. I guess where I have come to is that you need three things:
Some electronic skills, some mechanical skills and some programming skills, in order to make a good DIY article. I possessed one out of the three
So after many months of sorting through the options, I'm happy with the end result of my choices. One could slave on forever trying to design and build an elegant and hopefully low-cost DIY solution, but sometimes a relatively small expenditure of money can quickly overcome many of the obstacles. The FCUSB was that item for me.
I've still got my Arduino boards. Wonder what I can do with them?
