Yes, it is amazing just how good Mt Stromlo still is as an observing site, that's Canberra for you, high, dry, inland and no industry .

Thanks Mike, yes Marcus' image is just out of this world!

Mt Stromlo isn't half bad, especially if you don't point toward the SW horizon at Canberra, a thousand times better than suburban Melbourne at least. It's a pity there won't be a professional telescope here anymore, after the fire.

Cheers. I wonder if that tidal stream is evidence of its interactions with M66, as that has a fair sized halo.
