Stunning solar prominences today

Had a late start for work this morning, so I got out the Lunt filter and ED890 for a quick solar squizz. The western limb had 4 pairs of prominences each pair connected by a sweeping arc. 2 of these pairs were back to back, joined by one fat prominence that bifurcated to form the two arches, one of which was a broad web of orange strands. The eastern limb was more modest with one prominence and a very long filament. It's the most spectacular display that I've seen since I've had my solar gear. If you've got a Ha solar filter, it's a very good day to get it out.
