Not sure about used 40D’s but Matt in Brisbane had one up for sale recently. I also note that DDP have brand new 50D’s at $1,089 at the moment, not that much more than $700 and you get a lot of new features and capability.
Also, when I was in Photocontinental in Brisbane a few weeks ago, in one of their display cabinets they had 3 or 4 ex-Govt
Canon 30D’s with Canon 17-85IS lens on sale with a 3 month warranty for $499.
