Orestis, it was around the time of Leon-somthing passed over, actually just on the tail end of that passing. It would of been in between 1:30 & 2:30 am.
As for the smoke trail...I'm sure it was there, because other than the streak of yellow and slower than normal decent, the wavering smoke trail was what I remember most, like a squigly line behind it. It's angle was fairly steep and I was facing towards town from my dark site several mms away. Perhaps the reflection from town brought it out. Given the smoke and all I thought it was fairly close.
