i hope we get to see more too.I've been into astronomy for about 2 years now and thats my first one.

Can't wait to see another.Regarding time it probally only lasted 2 seconds at most it was moving pretty fast.
I didn't see a smoke trail but i think i might have heard a faint whizz sound,which was quite interesting.i think you can only see the smoke trail when its somehow illuminated by the sun or is still sort of burning,eh i don't now.About what time did you see yours last year and was yours part of a meteor Shower? i don't think mine was.For all i know it could of been a piece of space junk burning up.though i do prefer the thought of seeing a piece of rock billions of years old burning upin our atmosphere.
