I'm assuming that the Kx is like the Km that I have in that the image stabilisation is in the body of the camera. I know that Canon's IS is in the actual lens and I'm thinking Nikon is similar although I may be wrong.
Because of this all old Pentax lenses should work on the Kx. The only thing you'd need to look at is Auto Focus.
I believe the Kx has two features that the Km is lacking - one is live view and the other is "click-on click-off" otpion when using the IR remote control for the bulb setting. I have to hold the button on my remote for the length of time that the exposure is happening.
