Sunset with ashes

First: I´m not sure if this is the right place for the following post or if it would be better to move it to "terrestrial photography".

Second:

Hi folks,

as you might know in mid-europe we have troubles with the dust-cloud of the eruptive volcano Eyjafjalla. Actually it is not visible to us, but all the airtraffic has been stopped, so we see very blue skies for 2 days without disturbing aircrafts.

What can be expected are nice and colorfull sunsets due to the ashes in the atmosphere.

So on Saturday I went out to have a look for that.
It was´n much more than normal.
Expect the local airport was dark.

You can('t) see it behind the forest.

A few minutes before, I was able to see some purple lights and a faint Belt of Venus around. This is quite rare for the region where I live!

In that moment I took this image, with my lovely wife catching the lights.
