Problem is that database management, backup and your personal message security is just another thing to maintain - and could/would never be guaranteed. At least if you dump these CSV files to your own machine every month and back them up to a USB key or other storage media you'd never lose them - and you'd have a complete history available to you, not just the last 200 messages.
