Farewell from Mercury

Good day everyone,

this is now my farewell to Mercury for this season.
The day before yesterday I tried to catch the nice constellation between Venus, Mercury and the young moon, but at this time the sky was covered with dark clouds in the west.
So the only think I could do was imaging this nice sunset:

Exposure data: Canon EOS 40d, 70-200 4.0 L USM, ISO 500, 70mm, f8.0, 1/640s

Image in higher resolution here.

Yesterday was the last chance to get this three objects into one shot. It was much better like yesterday, but the eruption of the Volcano Eyjafjallajökull in Iceland caused a big dust cloud which makes the horizon even more hazier like normal.
So Mercury wasn´t visible.
I was able to get a few images of Venus and the young moon, which i combined to one image to show the movement of the two objects:

5 Images, 40d, 70mm, different exposures and iso settings to avoid to much difference between the single shots.

Before that I took one more image to test the setup. This image is "nice" but boring, so I fooled around a bit with photoshop.

Both images in higher resolution here.

Hope you enjoy it.
