A bit of a bump here, I've loaded many of the suggestions, and found a couple of extra apps, one is Navionics Marine, a Marine GPS chart program complete with tide predictions, equivalent GPS charts cost hundreds of dollars, the app just $14.99

Thanks Chris for the Pocket weather au tip, absolutely fantastic.

I also installed Runkeeper Free as suggested by Humayan, I was so impresssed I decided to pay for the full version.

Another interesting app I found was Columbia WhatKnot, a how to on knot tying.

I had a recommendation from one of our suppliers to try Acrobits Wi-Fi softphone. It's a Wi-Fi/3Gdata SIP phone. I can confirm it works with Engin and other sip providers (tried it today with some parameters from one of our SIP trunking PABX's), it can also be used as a sip phone extension on an IP capable PABX.
