Well, yes they can be compared, absolutely, the task they perform is well defined and not subjective, they make round stars or they dont.
The difference, in the end, is price and fiddle factor. Load capacity, PE, pointing accuracy, reliabilty etc just gets down to cost and fiddle factor, nothing else. The more you are prepared to fiddle for round stars, the cheaper it gets.
I deliberately gave a wide choice, because thats well.......what the choices are.
The EQ5 is not amusing, its fine for the price if it gives round stars with the OTA you have, not if you dont, or..........fiddle with it till it does, then its a great deal.
