I'm wondering, Dave, if its a temperature thing? I haven't come across it before while lunar imaging. During solar work the camera is sitting up with one side in the full on sun, plus the higher daytime temps...

If it is, it won't take much to rig a little shade for the camera, but cooling might be a bit more drastic
