Stupid jpg
Thanks Martin. Yeah something screwed up on the thumbnail. Will have to repost that bit. Looks muted

Well done indeed, I also can't wait for the colour to be added.

Hopefully you can get the chance to grab the requisite other panels and comlpete the mosaic.

I would dearly love to see NGC 3352 as part of this composition, too.

Well done, mate.

H
Thanks H! Yeah only four panels to go.

Clear skies Ken.
Thanks Ken. On the C11 the field is actually not much bigger than my 5" newt at F/5. I think you get much wider fields on C6/C8s.

The smaller image has more outer detail but lacks contrast in the inner part of the image. Perhaps you can achieve a better compromise on those 2 aspects. Shadows/highlights will give better contrast in the homonoculous (spelling?) without losing detail and brightness in the outer bands.

Greg.
Thanks Greg. Yes the thumbnail is muted and the dynamic range has gone out of the window... The cropping definitely did something. Will repost the smaller version. The mosaic looks sharper.

Fantastic mozaic Marc

NOW you are starting to extract the FASTAR edge

Mike
Thanks Mike. Yeah I'm getting there now. Consistent focus is my next big challenge then I can go back to drinking wine.
