Hi Matt .... yes, depending exacly what area, as many clusters are around Centaurus and Carina region. Omega Centauri is gorg in binoc, and is a huge globular cluster.
Have you got starcharts/Stellarium ... then you may be able to pinpoint the area, and see what is there
