Strikingly (& a little scarily) similar...is it the mind of God?
It seems beings that could travel inter-galactic distances would be the dominant "thoughts" in this universal beings mind.
Does this mean that for us lowly earthbound humans that God simply isn't listening?
Perhaps it's not God, it could be Dog.
By some style of fractal recursion we find ourselves living in the mind of an uber-dog, only the essence of a passing thought.
Could be worse, we could find ourselves living in what he just left on the lawn.
