Hi all, as you know I have just purchased a toucam and this morning I got out nice and early and gave it the official first fun. I tried it with and without the IR filter, and this had mixed results. I only shot frames for a mx of 90 seconds and averaged around 800 (for 10 frames a second) to 1300 frames (for 15 frames a second) with very little dropping of frames.
Now for those who have not used this camera, an observation that I made was that the images on the screen present as being very grainy. This makes focus a real pain. Settings were 1/25 second, gain almost zero, saturation 90 percent, gamma 20 and unfortunately white balance was set to auto ( I now know that it should be left off for shooting).
Anyway for the results. Out of the three avis I have processed so far I got two. No editing of the frames I just set the quality level in registax at 70%. I need to pull out the frames that are blurry. I still have 6 avi's to process and will post the best of those. But for now just these two.
