Well....
The saga was going on in the background during all this time (almost 4 weeks!!!), there were some negotiations and talks, ordering parts... but I did not bother to rant here about all this...

Today they finally came (the same guy, a plumber), with new control box.
The bill this time: $120 ($300 total).

The ONLY reason I "outsourced" this job was insurance in case of fire (advice given by fire men who were on the site when it all started).
I am still sort of tempted to disclose the business name this bunch of clowns operate under.. and I will, if the thing breaks down again, both here and to ACCC.

Hopefully, this is over...

BTW, this story of mine reminds me of recent "near - almost- fall" of Peter Garrett.. No-one can take care of incompetent clowns like those who tried to repair my cooling system..
