Great shots everyone. Sorry for my late entry, due in part to my indecision on which from my collection to enter.
I chose this image because it contains a beautiful juvenile Bald Eagle but also because it was taken on the last day this bird was bound to its birthplace. On this evening the bird began to perform flight tests by jumping in attempt to gain lift from the breeze. Eventually it was able to get off a few wing beats in the air. On the next morning the bird was in a tree about 90 meters away sitting near its mother. The remaining young Eagle in the nest took its maiden flight the very next day.
