Thanks Patrick! Re 1888/9, a real buzz getting something in terms of the challenge but not a meaningful observation in my book (other than great practice), and dim galaxies like these I'm more than happy to leave to the "big boys"!
And I'm glad you realise it's all down to the quality brand of the scope pgc!
