Peter, you need to get the drivers on the hard drive at least. Can you download them directly? Once you have them, in a pinch, you can go to device manage and manually update drivers from there. I got some Windows 2000 drivers to install in Windows 7 for an old scsi card the other day. It gave a warning about digital signatures but it worked just fine
