Cheers H - I've tweaked the high res version with your comments in mind and also tried to get on top of the noise issue without getting that unnatural look (hopefully)

Mark - That dark neb across the loop from M78 is LDN1622.. Given that it is classified as a dark nebula, its actually fairly bright.. Easily imaged from dark skies..
