Hrmm.. that power issue sounds annoying to say the least, given the 6 week repair job...
As for the guider, I don't know... I suppose I'd have to be there looking at it to troubleshoot further really... Are you using the guide cable that came with it or one from a QHY5/Orion SSAG? Im not sure but the pinout may be different.. Pretty sure its not, but it may be.. Something to look at I suppose... The SBIG site has the manual for the older parallel port cameras that gives a diagram of the pin-out. You could at least check that the camera and mount are the same, and check the cable is suitable...
