Thanks! Well as I was processing it, I was having a conversation about this image. I was showing my girlfriend how bumping the saturation gives you a almost surreal "WoW" looking image. You can certainly got higher with this image and it gets more and more intense / interesting. I decided not to go with the intense looking saturated version, instead I went for the more natural version with very minimal saturation increase as I thought the colours already held their own.
I always verge on not touching saturation unless it is needed. If you realy need to bump the saturation right up on your image, it normally means your image was lacking "WoW" factor from the beginning.

Indeed wasn't it amazing!! I left for work at 6am and almost all of sydney had really nice pink clouds, even to the horizon.

I am lucky I have those foreground trees. They allow my to frame the sunsets several ways. Two are gums and ones a pine tree.
I deliberatley shot to under expose the foreground as it was still light, to get that contrasty tree silouette look to them.
