yup have looked at the simulation on starry night, have synchronized laptop time with some nuclear bomb clock somewhere.
have not seen a cloud in 2 days and 2 nights!
full moon = 7 passes with the toucam at 250x to be autostiched into a super big photo and then into afocal mode with an eyepiece for the eclipse.
not sure whether to use the telescope at all and just use the webcam by itself???
as for venus and antares, this is my favourite place in the sky at the moment, does not look like the 40mm will frame these two, so toucam on a tripod again!
