I got the news last night too.. great to see CWAS trying to improve what is already a superb event.

I think it’s a good move finally defining the planetary sections. I felt it was tough for the high-res planetary imagers getting trumped by a widefield shot (even though it was my image ). Now we get the best of both very different worlds. And I’ve been having a lot of fun with timelapse movies so it’ll be great to see what others are doing as well.

I had a great time in Parkes last year (even though I could hardly talk) and will be back again this year regardless of whether I have images there or not. The online submission sounds like we’ll be able to see everybody’s submissions not just the finalists which will also be fun to browse through.

Moonlit Landscape.. hmm.. not many more lunar cycles between now and June
