Hi Ken,
Why not have a go with the UHCS in front of the narrowband filters. These narrowband filters do look reflective - perhaps it is bouncing back off the filter onto the back of the IR filter? The UHCS might let through less of the "non-narrowband" light frequencies that you are not really interested in.
Just something you might like to experiment with.
