Hey Sab your coming???

Visual observers should unite and get together in the field. Maybe nearer the south east corner of the paddock.
no white light or laptops allowed
The more your eyes dark adapt the more you will see i promise

Comparing scope sizes, eyepieces and sorting out everyone's collimation would be great to do.

With Mars and Saturn in the sky as well as The best part of the Milky Way Carina through the Southern cross area there will be a wealth of things to look at and compare.

People can come over and see what its like in a 8" scope or a 15" scope. Just to see how big scopes are or not.
This will be a great place to see what the different scopes and eyepieces see and you can make a more informative decision on what scope you mite get.

Remember most imagers use little scopes say 4" Apo's and a very high cost( many thousands) Great for what it's used for but and $800 Newtonian will show you anything in the sky so much brighter than the Apo.

So come to camp see whats what Meet Jen she will make you laugh

And get to speak to lots of people and pick there brains on different scopes.

Remember size does matter SDM
Well, perhaps the southern side, not too close to the dam. Seems to get very dewy. I think last time most of us visual observers tended to congregate at the southern end anyway.
