I know what your thinking...all dressed up & no place to go!...Astronomy is like that. Patience is the curse you have to endure.
Anyway look for bright larger objects like some globular clusters & open clusters around 6hrs to 13Hrs RA at high -ve angle declination.
The projects page has
111Bright NGC southern objects. Arrange the list in Excel by RA hrs to see what is in your FOV by Hrs. I have an easier version of this list also with Messier names etc. PM me if you want it.
