Well after seeing the other week that this area was very popular I decided for things to cool down a little before I show yet another version of this wonderful but fairly faint area..
Image is a composite of 2-1/2hrs of Ha and 3 hrs of color with the 8" newt and cooled 40D. Still could have done with much more HA as still was a little noisey but it sure helped bring out the Ha better. The camera performed nicely at around 6-7c over the two nights with 5 min subs.
Ha was blended into the red channel as well used as a luminance channel. Also used the Ha as a mask to bring out the highlights although I lost some of the dimmer regions. More concerned at keeping the noise down as we know one has to push this one quiet abit ex us DSLR users.
