I just picked the Eepc as a low-cost small PC, I'm looking for the simplest way to implement this idea.
There is also a version that comes with XP & 1 G. memory.
I own a copy of Starry Night Pro V5 but as it is out of date, so the Stellarium way would be attractive.
Before I purchase a PC I need to establish its suitability.
Going to Linux may be complicating things unnecessarily if 1G memory is adequate for Stellarium under XP.

What do you think, will 1Gb memory be adequte to run Stellarium under XP?
I'm not familiar with Linux, but I belief it does not require as much memory as Windows.
