Well I have finally got around to processing my first image with the new cooled modded 40D. Did this last new moon over a two night period with a total of just over 3 hours data. The 40D exhibited some banding in the darker areas which I am not sure of the cause, putting some ferrite chokes now on the leads so hopefully that shall fix that up?
Camera was set at a modest 15c with the ambient at around 20c and plenty of humidity after plenty of rain so left it on the high side to prevent condensation. Last night I ran the camera at 7-8c with no problems

Image stacked in DSS and done a little Pixinsight and finished in PS.
Reduced to just under 50% for upload and a decent jpg resolution.
