Its un-natural!
Of the last 180 solar cycles, I have had 43 perfectly clear days, and 81 days of "lite cloud". During that same period I have had 62 nights of intermittent or light cloud and only 17 nights of 'perfect' transparency. Drop that to 9 if I factor in 'seeing', which I've stopped doing. Of these 159 wash-out periods I can only account for 21, due to equipment purchase (assuming 3 nights per item that impacts observing time).
Might as well take up knitting!
This year I suggest we shoud all sync. our purchases to full moon periods and see what happens.
