Houghy, nice images, for a first crack.
The dust specks will be on your sensor. They are so small you won't be able to see them properly. I use a isoprene mixture that EXFSO made up for me on a cotton wool bud and a sensor brush to clean off the gunk. This is the bane of the DSLR. The sensor brush will set you back around $160 include can o air, but it is worth it. Do not try to use anything else to clean it, you will only make is worse, I have tried. Other options are a $120 clean by a pentax agent. Its cheaper in the long run to clean it yourself. This problem will continue to harrass you.
