I also own an SV105f6.2 with LZOS optics and can vouch for the superb quality of the optics and also of the quality of the optical tubes made by Vic Maris. What makes Stellarvue different to many of the other manufacturers,is that even though the Optics are sourced from the same place as many of the other companies. Before Stellarvue will use them, they are all individually tested, and many are rejected, hence limited availability of Stellarvue scopes, just like some of the more well know and advertised companies. The Stellarvue tubes are second to none, and better than most.Vic Maris the owner and maker of Stellarvue, worked in conjunction with Thomas Beck of TMB and with Yuri from TEC on the LZOS optics used in these scopes, and what stopped their production was the cost factor to manufacture optics of such high quality and to keep it priced reasonably for the general public, unlike some manufacturers.Unfortunately the later optics marked TMB design and sold after the death of Thomas Beck are not of the same quality, and were not used by Stellarvue, who went to an F7 optics, but are still used by some other companies. There was no falling out between Vic and Thomas,as reported in some places,in fact they were in constant contact right up till Thomas past away, and Vic is still in contact with Yuri fro TEC throwing ideas and such around. The other good thing about Stellarvue,if you have any questions, you can ring them and you will be put through to the Owner/Maker himself,Vic Maris. Not too many companies you can do that with. How do I know this? I have done it,all before I purchased my SV105,I thoroughly researched what I was looking at spending my money on.And if I had the money again,I would buy it over again,no question.
Regards and sorry for the rant
