I have seen this process before and I agree with the information and I will be using this method once I can track the planets. Right as i am using a non tracking DOB the planet drifts across the screen and as a result the image will never acheive the results shown on the above web link. I am overall quite happy with the result.

I have tried to use a barlow but the planets skim across the field of view so quickly there is no time to collect clear picture or even find the planets in the first place.

Essentially what I am doing is to find the best webcam to carry out the imagery. If i can acheive the best results without tracking i am sure i can acheive a better result once I have tracking. I have tested 5 webcams so far, I will run my Philips Toucam soon, and one more I have ordered recently.

The moon shots are the easiest and great learning curve.
