Tom - the STX is certainly late and as you say expensive - SBIG updated their price list on 24 Dec, so the camera and CFW will knock you back $13,670 and if you opt for Baader filters, that will add a further $1164 for the LRGBHa set or a further $2750 if you opt for Astrodon filters.
I like it enough though to sell my FLI Proline 16803/CFW5-7/7 filter set to finance it, even though its only had a few weeks use, literally.
