As for the car comparison someone posted, dropping by 20% on purchase, not true. 18% per year is the AU tax office rate for depreciation on motor vehicles at the moment. Takahashi scopes are not motor vehicles. Motor vehicles wear out over time. If you don't need the cash, keep it. I won't be selling mine, it took too much effort to get them and they perform flawlessly.
