Seems lots of people offer their 2 cents worth. As a seller I now place my for sales with a price and the words FIRM placed directly after the figure I expect. How stupid do people have to be or think the seller is by making offencive offers often below even the 50% value mentioned earlier. I think it is quite reasonable to vent the frustration of recieving such rediculous offers.
By the way, any telescope retailer will tell you good equipment has or should have a resell value of 2/3 of original equipment.
Go try to buy an AP refractor fo 90% of it's original cost and the seller would laugh you to death.
Fair enough the buyer sets the price in the second hand market but when prices are quoted why must we as sellers get rediculous offers.
Be patient if the sale has to happen the seller will drop the price.
