As a guide I used to look at Astromart and determined that desirable 2nd hand current market stuff in excellent cond usually traded for 70-75% of new price.

Here on IIS it seems harder to get a decent price due to the much smaller size of our market and patience is often required to match up with a buyer who is actually seeking that item, rather than those only enticed by "a bargain".

Lowballers making offers like 30% below asking price without invitation are like rude scavengers, and its tempting to respond with the contempt such offers deserve. imo
