not 1 Dec but 1st Sun of Advent which was Nov 29 this year.
1st year in our house I cut a branch of the big pine tree. What a mess, never did that again.
One year I think it was getting close to Easter when we decided it really was time to take the tree down
These days it stays up for the 12 days of Christmas.
Kids have been pestering for the lights since the tree went up so that will be my weekend. I hope enough of them still work.
