I'd go with the French bubbles (but Domaine Chandon isn't bad), NZ whites - Semillon or Sauv Blanc (Cloudy Bay?), Australian reds like St Hugo Cab Sav or Penfolds 389, and a sticky like De Bortoli's Noble One.
