DSLR Jupiter

Took these awhile ago so figured I might as well post

Been using the Nikon D90’s liveview on the back of the camera to view Jupiter and I think I have been able to get it pretty close to visual (although as I have never done a swap to compare I could be wrong – should do that at some stage I guess).

Equipment used was D90 attached to 12” Newt with 2x Barlow and 5x powermate.

When I grab the frames from the avi’s they seem really small but anyway here was a raw stack and then one processed. Aside from the fact it is so small pretty happy with the result given the D90 is probably not the most ideal kit for trying to do planetary.

Cheers
