Since Asi has jumped in, your shot reminds me of this one I got at the inaugural BIMBO meet ....
The first shows the original shot resized to 1000p on the longest side - the only shot I got of him before he flew off.
The second is a 100% crop of his wing area (saved at 50% quality to get under the posting limits). Notice the detail mechanics of the wing (I can almost see the components there bending and stretching as the wing moves up and down
) and the stained glass window effect of his wing material.
Unfortunately I missed focus on his neck and didn't get a second opportunity.
